Make your own Bee! Step-by-step pattern that includes photos and tips. This is an amigurumi pattern that includes the following crochet techniques:
 
Single crochet
Half double crochet
Decreasing
Tapestry crochet (in back loops only).
 
Difficulty: Intermediate
 
Materials required (NOT INCLUDED WITH YOUR PURCHASE):
 
4mm (G) AND 5mm (H) crochet hook 
Worsted weight yarn in Yellow, Black and White 
12mm safety eyes 
Stitch marker 
Yarn needle 
Polyfil Stuffing 
Pipe cleaners (optional)
 
Yarn:

I had one skein of yellow and one skein of black (acrylic) yarn. Both were 285 yards/260m, and I was able to make 2 bees and still had yarn leftover. The white is only for the eyes and wings.

Size:
 
Beatriz measures approximately 18.5 inches from the top of the antenna to the bottom of the feet. From the top of her head (not including the antenna), she is approximately 13 inches. She is also 18 inches around the middle!
