Loving' Heart Head Band/Ear Warmer Crochet Pattern

Updated: Mar 22, 2023

Aaaah love! Love is a many splendid thing, love lifts us up where we belong, all you need is love!

Love hearts are also easy to crochet, so I made a headband/ear warmer using the tapestry technique, and now you can make your own using my pattern! :) One day late for Valentines, but who cares?!

This headband is one size only, for adults. The yarn I used is Lion Brand Woolspun which has quite a bit of stretch to it, so this headband should fit most noggins, but if your head is huge then I'd suggest adding a few extra foundation chains so it can fit around your head comfortably.

You will need:

  • 6.5mm (K) crochet hook

  • Lion Brand Woolspun Yarn OR a Chunky yarn (5) in two colours

To make the heart pattern in this headband we will be using the crochet tapestry technique. Not only that, but we will be working in BACK LOOPS ONLY. If you are unfamiliar with tapestry crochet, then I highly suggest you practice with a swatch before starting this project! Here is a video explaining how to do the tapestry crochet in back loops via Chabe Patterns:

You can also refer to this photo at any time to make sure your hearts are working up correctly.

Let's get crocheting!
